Seeing the Big Picture: Looking at the 60s Visually


One way of looking at the 60s.  Brings in literature, people, music, art, science...

  1. I really like this non-linear format. Developed into a teaching tool one could imagine clicking on each picture for more material --pictures, music, clips..etc. As an assignment one could imagine a student choosing one topic for exploration.

  2. Great idea. And good point about the non-linear. I was really thinking about it as a visual aid but it's also a good representation of another way of thinking about history, rather than using timelines all the time, which often leave too much out. "Chronological thinking" being one of the social studies standards, I could also seeing integrating this format with the broader timeline...
